At Ferruzzo, we spent over a decade perfecting the home renovation process to make sure that every step leading up to the start of your renovation is transparent and easy to follow.
Before you begin working with a contractor on a home renovation or addition, make sure to ask them for their step-by-step process to see how they will prepare your project.
The Ferruzzo 8 Step
Renovation Process
Step 1: Initial Inquiry
Once you fill out a form on our website, a representative will get back to you within two business days.
This may vary depending on the season, but we aim to address all inquiries as quickly as possible.
Step 2: Evaluation of Request
Our Design-Build team analyzes every inquiry to determine which projects will be the best fit for the homeowner and our team.
At Ferruzzo, our projects typically meet the following criteria:
- Budget: Your project budget is more than $20,000.
Step 3: Site Visit
Our Design-Build team will visit the site of your project and will work with you to gather all the required information for your renovation or addition. We will then formulate a planning budget.
Step 4: Planning Budget
A budget for your project will be created and presented to you. This will address what your project will cost based on the information you provided at the site visit. Once the budget is approved, we proceed to the next step.
Step 5: Site Measure & Retainer
Our team will visit the site of your project and collect accurate information and measurements in order to create and submit architectural drawings needed to obtain permits from your respective city/town.
At this time, a retainer will be required to cover the pre-construction costs, including any drawings and documents needed to draft a submission for permits.
Step 6: Presentation Day
We will present the designs for your project. During this meeting, we will discuss any changes to the design that must be made.
Step 7: Scope of Work
Once your design is completed and approved, we will create a detailed scope of work for your project and will reach out to our trusted network of subcontractors to provide us with quotes for the scope of work required.
Once the scope of work has been completed, we will arrange a final presentation date to review the cost of your project.
Step 8: Contract
If you decide to move forward with the proposals created by our team, we will sign the contract and discuss timelines for your project.
